Theses

The theses should deal with topics in the field of applied microeconomics. This includes topics from game theory as well as experimental economic research. Preferably, candidates approach the chair with a research question that they would like to investigate.

In terms of content, successful participation in the courses Introduction to Game Theory or Industrial Economics as well as a sound knowledge of microeconomics is required. It is desirable to conduct an experiment as part of the thesis.

The theses can be written in either German or English and are submitted in bound form. The presentation of the thesis after submission is obligatory. To prepare the printed version, please use the latex template provided below. (The easiest way to use Latex is via Overleaf, for which KIT provides a campus licence: https://www.overleaf.com/. Alternatively, Latex can be installed on your own PC, e.g. MikTex, TexLive or for Mac users TexPad, and the tex source text edited in an editor, e.g. WinEdit. Tutorials are available on the internet).
